NPOWR!
The NPOWR! Program (Noncustodial Parent Outreach Work Referral program) is a 90 day program designed to provide employment placement assistance and job readiness services to noncustodial parents who are unemployed and behind in their child support payments.
Children need financial support from both parents. However, some noncustodial parents may want to pay, but may not be able to because of lack of employment or the skills necessary to maintain steady employment. The Arkansas Office of Child Support Enforcement has partnered with the Arkansas Workforce Centers, Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, and Arkansas Workforce Development Board, who provide services to help the noncustodial parent with skills assessment tools and job search assistance.
The program is currently open only to NCPs residing in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties. The NCP must live in Pulaski or Lonoke County, but the case can be an open enforcement case in any county within Arkansas. The NCP must also be unemployed and at least 30-90 days behind in child support payments.
