Maintains records of traffic violations and accidents for each licensed driver. Keys convictions on records. Assists courts and the public with driving records inquiries.
Arkansas driving records are governed by Arkansas code section 27-50-901 et. Seq. The statutes are more restricted in the release of information than the Federal Privacy Protection Act. Any records related to your drivers' license have been and continue to be confidential. They can only be released under certain exceptions, including when a release is given to you by others. The release must be signed and dated and must include your name, drivers' license number, date of birth and the name of the persons to whom the information is to be released. This release will remain in effect for 5 years, unless a written withdrawal is filed.

Driving Records Types
Beginning October 1, 2019 Insurance and History Records will increase to $8.50.
Insurance Record- Shows traffic violations for a 3-year period.
- $8.50 by mail or in person
- $10.00 online
Commercial Record- Commonly requested for employment purposes. Certain information stays on a commercial record longer than a 3- year period.
- $10.00 by mail or in person
- $13.00 online
History Record- information on your driving record dating back to when you received your license.
- $8.50- History records cannot be requested online or at the Revenue Office. Requests must come to Driving Records in person or by mail.
