Applicants must submit additional applications when they wish to be considered for other available vacancies. Applications are no longer accepted by fax.
The Human Resources Recruiting Office staff screens applications to determine whether or not an applicant possesses the required minimum qualifications for the job classification. One or more of the following may occur:
If the applicant meets the requirements, and a vacancy exists, a copy of his/her application is forwarded to the interviewer for consideration and a letter is generated to the applicant stating such.
If the applicant meets the requirements, but vacancy does not exist, a letter is generated to the applicant stating such.
If the applicant does not possess the requirements, the application is filed and a letter is generated to the applicant stating such.
The normal application processing time is two to four (2 /4) working days (from DFA Human Resources to the Office advertising the vacancy).
The interviewer is responsible for determining which qualified applicants will be interviewed and for scheduling interviews.
All persons interviewed for positions in DFA will be required to acknowlege receipt of information regarding employment restrictions and disclosures. For further information, see Excerpts from Arkansas Code Annotated 19-11 Subchapter 7, available here as an Acrobat PDF.
Once an applicant is selected for hire, the Human Resources Office staff ensures that the new employee is oriented to the Department's policies and procedures and that pertinent hiring information is obtained. The official personnel file is maintained by the DFA Human Resources Office.
